ShareGrid's roots began when a photographer and a filmmaker decided to combine their passion for cameras, and their love of technology, to enable access to idle gear for aspiring creatives.
With the launch of the first ShareGrid community in Los Angeles in 2015, ShareGrid soon grew nationwide to network of over 150,000 video and photo artists around the US coming together to share over $1b of creative gear with each other.
In 2022, ShareGrid joined the Backstage family of brands to grow ShareGrid's trusted community even further.
