Custom Packages Available Upon Request Delivery: Delivery services are subject to availability and include a fee of $8 per mile of distance between the pickup address above and the delivery address. A delivery to Culver City, for example, would be 11 miles times $8 per mile is $88 total (the round trip is 22 miles total at $4 per mile). There is a delivery minimum charge of $35. An additional 50% fee will be added for deliveries during Friday rush hour between 3:00PM and 7:00PM. Last minute delivery requests (within 2 hours of requested delivery) will include an additional $20 fee and also subject to availability. We do not send our gear in Ubers. What happens in the case that your rented equipment stops working in the middle of your shoot: We will do our very best to replace your equipment with the exact same or similar equipment in a timely manner so you may continue shooting. We almost always have backup cameras and lenses on-hand. This is extremely rare (less than 1% of rentals), but it's better to be prepared than not. We highly recommend bringing or renting a backup camera and lens for high-value shoots. By renting with us, you acknowledge that we cannot guarantee exact backup equipment availability for your shoot. By renting with us you agree that the maximum liability we carry is the cost of the EQ rental between you, the renter, and ourselves. By renting with us, you agree that we, the equipment owner, do not hold liability for loss of income or other damages that may occur during your shoots. Out of Country (US), Near/Over Water, or Drone Use: You must present corresponding insurance coverage for international travel if you plan to use the gear out of country. You must also disclose the country or countries you plan to travel to with the rented gear, when the rental is being requested. Under no circumstances can our rented gear travel to any country in Central or South America or any country with a level 3 or 4 travel advisory (according to the US Customs office website). Our insurance will not cover you and Sharegrid's temporary insurance via Athos won't cover you either. Also we do not allow any of our gear to be used for drone photography or in/above water regardless of your insurance coverages. By not disclosing usage of our equipment outside the US, near or over water, or for drone use, you may be subject to being banned from the platform, continued rental fees, and potential legal action in the case of loss or damage of rented equipment. -- Cleaning Fees and Repair Fees Of course equipment is meant to be used, which is why basic wear and tear is completely normal and covered in your rental fee. We perform a basic cleaning of the equipment between rentals at no additional charge to our renters. On rare occurrences (less than 1% of rentals), equipment has been returned in lesser condition than was originally picked up by the renter. In the case that equipment is returned damaged in a way that significantly degrades the value of the equipment or there is excessive dust, dirt, sand, or moisture in or on the equipment, an additional fee will be applied to the rental. We try to be as fair as possible when it comes to these fees. If we cannot clean or repair the equipment in-house, it will be sent in for professional cleaning with FPS (Fujifilm Professional Services) or Profoto US and the renter will be responsible for the entire cost of those services. We will not hold renters liable for electronic malfunctions, factory defects, or prior wear and tear. We take time-stamped images of the equipment's condition before pickup to ensure fairness all-around. -- Cancellation Fees: We understand that not all jobs go the way we'd hoped. If you have to cancel, please do so at least 24 hours before. By cancelling the day of your rental pickup, you may be depriving other renters from getting the gear they need and we lose potential income from those lost bookings. Below are the mandatory cancellation fees: You may cancel for FREE up to 5pm the day before your rental begins. After 5pm the day before your rental begins or day-of Cancellations before 12PM: 50% of the rental cost for 1 shoot day or 20% of the entire rental, whichever is greater. Day-of Cancellations after 12PM or no show: 100% of the rental cost for 1 shoot day or 35% of the entire rental, whichever is greater. -- Scammers and Thieves PLEASE READ BEFORE "RENTING": Just don’t. We work closely with several city and state law enforcement agencies and have successfully caught “renter” thieves, put them behind bars, met with them face to face in courtrooms, and received restitution payments by said thieves. Grand theft looks bad on your record already. What’s the point if you’re not going to successfully get away with it? All equipment is tracked via serial number and even if it’s pawned off, it will be tracked back to the thief every time. If you scratch off the serial, it will lose 90% of its value and no one will want to take it off your hands. This is not the equipment you are looking for. (Jedi hands)
