To put it simply, this renter either can’t remember transactions, or lies to get out of anything. On top of all that, they’ll blame you for their own incompetent crew. Blair rented my 12 foot jib, an item countless people have used with no complaints, and somehow made it seem like I did something wrong because he and his “cinematographer” couldn’t figure out how to work this piece of equipment. I was never made aware of any problem during the rental. It wasn’t until he opened a case with sharegrid to get a refund that I was notified about a problem. He hardly talked and didn’t ask any questions when picking up the item, and not once tried to contact me during the rental period to ask questions. I got my pan/tilt head back in pieces, and the best part? My jib that supposedly “didn’t work” functioned exactly as it was supposed to the night he brought it back. But I’m the one that shouldn’t be allowed to be on sharegrid? Maybe don’t rent equipment you have no business renting.
