DO NOT RENT TO MINU!!!
THEY DESTROYED MY RONIN-2 GIMBAL.
I definitely jumped the gun when I gave my positive review. Shame on me! I like to say positive things about people.
Here it goes... these guys rented my Ronin-2 and Black Arm. They returned it. I was in a rush, so I quickly glanced at everything to make sure everything looked okay. I closed the cases and put them away. I had gone out of town so I was not able to open the cases until I came back. Fast forward three weeks later...
I had another rental for the ronin nd the clients came to do a checkout. I opened the case, I noticed all my screws were corroded in addition to a white dust (salt) over the body of the ronin. IO went to power it on and what do you know. It doe not work. The power comes on, but the gimbal screen is black and the motors can not get set.
I immediately called Minu's producer who told me they were filming in the snow. However, they claim to not be responsible because they made sure they dried it over and over and it's my fault for keeping it in the case.
Well, that would make sense had they told me my gimbal was drenched. But no, they didn't tell me that. So now for a $150.00 rental on a gimbal that cost 8000.00, I'm completely out of a gimbal.
It's sad to see somebody treat your equipment with such negligence and lack of care. I guess as long as he gets the shots he wants he's happy. No matter who he burns in the process. I'm hoping Sharegrid will make the situation right. But as of now, I'm out of an expensive gimbal that as kept in PRISTINE condition.
Minu's producer's response to me was, "Sorry" "Take it up with Sharegrid".
I never thought I'd be leaving a negative review about someone. But sometimes it has to happen.
Save yourself the trouble and heartache.
